Charley Crockart

Charley Crockart is a Zimbabwe-born international showjumper and highly respected coach, recognised for her lifelong dedication to the sport and her influence within the Southern African equestrian community. Having begun riding at an exceptionally young age, Charley’s career has evolved into one defined by elite competition, mentorship, and the development of both horses and riders.

Based in Kyalami, Charley operates CC Equestrian, a dynamic training facility that is home to a large and diverse string of horses and riders from various countries. The stableyard functions as a professional high-performance environment, reflecting Charley’s structured, detail-oriented approach to training and horse management.

Charley’s competitive career is marked by significant achievements at both national and international level. She was the highest placed female rider at the All Africa Games in Morocco and a winner of the World Jumping Challenge hosted in Kyalami. Her accolades also include victories in major derby classes, multiple Gauteng Championship gold medals in open grades, and a Blouberg Cup title. These achievements highlight her consistency and capability at the highest levels of the sport.

A defining aspect of Charley’s program is her focus on producing young horses. Her current string includes a number of promising prospects, each carefully developed with long-term soundness and performance in mind. This commitment to correct production has become a cornerstone of her reputation as both a rider and trainer.
